Course Platform Migration
Move your courses and learner accounts to a new platform with a clearly defined scope, backups of available data, and verification checks before handover. We confirm platform compatibility before accepting the migration.
- Up to 3 courses and 60 lessons
- Up to 300 learner accounts
- Compatibility check before migration
- Backup of available source data
- Sample checks and exception report
Delivery: Up to 15 business days after the compatibility review is approved and required files and access are received.
A structured course and learner migration, without overpromising
Moving learning platforms involves more than uploading videos. We review export/import capabilities, map courses, lessons and learner identities, migrate the agreed data, and test representative samples. If progress records, quizzes or subscriptions cannot be moved, we make that clear before the project is approved.
What’s included
- Initial compatibility review for one source and one destination platform, with an agreed migration inventory.
- Migrate up to 3 courses and 60 lessons in total, including course structure and assets that can legally and technically be exported.
- Import up to 300 unique learner accounts and supported course enrollments; passwords are not transferred.
- Retain a copy of source data available for export before migration, with an inventory; a full source-server backup is not assumed.
- Test up to 10 representative lessons and 10 learner enrollment cases, including access to content.
- Handover report identifying migrated items, unsupported items, and remaining exceptions.
- Two review rounds for agreed scope refinements; correcting our in-scope implementation errors does not consume a review round.
Migration Process
- Inventory and compatibility — We inventory courses, lessons, accounts and export/import formats, and confirm what can move.
- Backup and preparation — We preserve available exports and prepare course-to-learner mapping in the destination.
- Migration execution — We migrate approved items only, with no unapproved changes to learners or subscriptions.
- Validation and handover — We review samples, document exceptions, and hand over the status report and follow-up steps.
Not Included
- Automatic migration of granular progress, grades, certificates or lesson-by-lesson completion history; each requires a separate feasibility review and quote.
- Transfer of active payments, subscriptions, banking information, payment tokens or payment-gateway integrations.
- Rebuilding quizzes, interactive modules, platform-locked content or custom software.
- Converting the destination to a multi-instructor system; this is a separate X-15-13 add-on.
- Platform subscriptions, storage, hosting, licenses and other third-party fees.
- Translation, video production, redesign, automations or marketing campaigns.
- A guarantee of zero downtime, transfer of every field, or recovery of non-exportable data.
What We Need Before Starting
- Source and destination platform names, versions or plan tiers.
- Inventory of courses, lessons, assets, unique learners and enrollments.
- Authorized sample exports and required field map, with personal data minimized.
- Time-limited administrative access to both platforms via a secure channel; do not send passwords in chat.
- Data-controller authorization to process and transfer learner data, plus preferred cutover window and student communications plan.

FAQ
FAQs
Can you migrate courses and students together?
Yes, up to 3 courses, 60 lessons and 300 unique learners, subject to the approved platform pair and supported enrollments.
Will course progress and grades transfer?
Not automatically. Progress and score portability vary by platform; we assess feasibility first and quote any additional work separately.
Are quizzes and subscriptions included?
No. Rebuilding quizzes or migrating subscriptions and payments is outside the base scope and requires separate scoping.
What happens to passwords and learner privacy?
Passwords are not migrated. Where needed, learners use a secure reset process. Limited access and authorization from the data controller are required.
How long does migration take?
The proposed window is up to 15 business days after feasibility approval and receipt of required access and data; cutover is coordinated with the client.
How do you verify the migration?
We provide a migration/exception report after testing representative samples of up to 10 lessons and 10 learner enrollment cases. Wider validation can be separately scoped.
Confirm What Can Move Before You Commit
Share your current and target platforms plus the approximate number of courses and learners. We will review compatibility, clarify migration scope and confirm your final quote before any work begins.
